Among current students and alumni, successes include those who have won the AWP Award Series Grace Paley Prize for Short Fiction, a Pushcart Prize, published in The New Yorker, and have books forthcoming on Houghton Mifflin Harcourt as well as distinguished small presses. The program offers full funding. Accepted applicants receive full funding if they meet the priority placement application deadline and fill out a teaching assistantship application. The program offers teaching assistantships, tuition waivers, competitive fellowships, annual creative writing scholarship competitions, competitive administrative opportunities for current students (including Assistant Director of Creative Writing position and Cimarron Review editorships), and graduate teaching assistantships for tutoring in the Writing Center or teaching freshman composition or creative writing.
